Lady was one of ten puppies born on January 12, 2007. Her sire Elhew Gray Ghost is a good hunter with a superb Elhew pedigree. Lady's dam is our Arky Diamond. Diamond is an outstanding hunter with a super nose and an intense point. Lady is the granddaughter of Elhew Royalty and the great-granddaughter of CH Miller's Silver Bullet, CH Elhew Fibber McGee, and Elhew McGoo. When I took Lady to the field just a few days ago she found and pointed a covey of about 15 wild scale quail. She held her point well. Wild quail are scarce in our area at this time. Lady is whoa trained and whistle trained to turn on a toot-toot and come to a long whistle blast. She hunts well in front of a walking hunter or in front of a four wheeler (mule). Lady is a dog that wants to please and will make a great birddog for a hunter that takes her to the field often. She loves to be petted and would be great in a home with children. Pistol was one of ten puppies born on January 12, 2007 to our matron Arky Diamond (all ten lived). She was sired by Elhew Gray Ghost who did very well in several derbys as a young dog. Diamond is a intense hunter with a great nose and a very steady point. Pistol is the granddaughter of Elhew Royalty and the great-granddaughter of CH Miller's Silverbullet, CH Elhew Fibber McGee, and Elhew Mr. McGoo. She carries her head high and has a beautiful gait. She will hunt in front of a walking hunter or a four wheeler. She holds her point well but will break point and move behind the birds if they run, stopping to re-establish the point when the birds stop running. She is whistle trained to turn to a toot-toot and come to a long blast on the whistle. She is also whoa trained to stop and stand still at anywhere in the field when the whoa command is given. She has retrieved thrown dead birds. She is a tough dog with feelings that are not easily hurt. She loves to be petted but wants to put both paws on your chest. Lucy (Plains Southern Attitude) was whelped on 4/10/06 and was purchased as a puppy from Scott Miller. Her sire is 3 time Champion Honky Tonk Gigolo (2006 NBHA National Open Shooting Dog of the Year) and her grand sire is 2 time National Champion Honky Tonk Attitude. Lucy has a great nose for birds. She will hold her point for as long as necessary. She does not break her point and flush birds. If they move on her, she will move and then reestablish her point. She continues to hold her point after the birds fly. The amazing thing is that this pointing style is totally natural with her; we did not teach this to her. In other words, she is an outstanding hunting dog with a super pedigree. She works a good zigzag pattern about 75 yards out and responds well to the whistle. Recently (12/14/07), a 410 was shot over Lucy and she eagerly retrieves the dead birds. She has just had her first full heat the first part of November. Princess was whelped on 3/2/07. Her sire is Elhew Gray Ghost and her dam is our matron Dillsdale Elhew Jane. Princess can find birds but is just beginning to hold her point. Just like a typical young dog, she is often too anxious and flushes the birds. As you can see from one of the two pictures, she has a great pointing form with as straight a tail as possible. Milty (Plains Texas Traveler) was whelped on September 10, 2004 and is the son of 2003 National Champion Texas Trailrider, the grandson of CH Thin Man's Image and the greatgrandson 2005 Hall of Fame Champion Elhew Snakefoot. He is a well built dog and is a natural retiever. He is whoa trained and whistle trained (comes and turns to a whistle command). Last season we shot wild Bobwhites and Blues over him. Julie loves to hunt and is an intense pointer that holds her point very well. She has a very good nose. We are presently hunting and killing wild quail (both Bobs and Blues) over her. On several occasions she has circled the Blue Quail in an effort to stop them from running from her. She is fast and smart and has a great zigzag hunting pattern. Very rarely do we have to turn her with the whistle. In general, she strives to please. Duke (whelped 4/29/04) is an intense hunter. We used him to sire our second litter of puppies. We now have three of these puppies in training. Duke will range far ahead if allowed to. Duke responds well to the whistle and holds his point well. He has a good nose for birds. We are presently shooting wild birds over him with no problems. He is the grandson of Additions Go Boy. Quail have been killed over him and he has retrieved. On one occassion he caught a wounded quail and retrieved it. Duke has had all of his shots, including rattlesnake vaccine. Missy (whelped on 1/15/05) is the granddaughter of CH Addition's Go Boy and the great granddaughter of CH Miller's Silver Bullet. Both dogs are Hall of Fame dogs. Missy has a very good nose. On one occasion last season she found and pointed six groups of wild quail in one hour. She holds her point well and is a natural backer (see hunting pictures for her backing). She has retrieved on several occasions but is not a consistent retriever at this time. She is easily controlled with the whistle and thus can be hunted at any range. Sioux (whelped on 7/6/05) is the great granddaughter of CH Additions Go Boy and CH Miller's Silver Bullet. She is a beautiful female with a well marked head. She already responds to the whistle in the field and has found pen raised quail and held her point for as long as a minute. She has a very good nose and already works a zigzag pattern as she hunts. As of recently, Sioux has been able to find and hold her point on wild Blue Quail. She learns quickly and wants to please. She has been, and will continue to be, a pleasure to train. Wes is the great grandson of CH Addition's Go Boy and CH Miller's Silver Bullet. He is a good looking, well built dog that was whelped on 7/7/05. In the yard he will retrieve tennis balls and hold a whoa position for several minutes. Soon he will be retrieving frozen quail. Wes loves affection and wants to please almost as much as he wants to hunt. He loves to be taken to the ranch and allowed to hunt. He has found and held a point on pen raised quail. Sage was whelped on 7/6/05 and is the great granddaughter of CH Addition's Go Boy and CH Miller's Sivler Bullet. Both of these dogs are Hall of Fame Dogs. She is a medium ranging dog that is easily controlled by the whistle. She is whoa trained and holds her point well. She has found and held her point on both pen raised and wild quail. Sage will retrieve tennis balls and has retrieved a frozen quail. We recently shot a 410 while she was in chase of some wild birds and she paid no attention to the noise. Rambler (whelped 6/24/2004) is the son of six time champion Moonshines Biotech Sun. Due to his notable lineage, he would make an excellent stud dog. Rambler is a close ranging hunter with a good nose and loves to hunt birds. He holds his point well and has retrieved without any training. He works a good zigzag pattern and we seldom have to use the whistle to turn him. We are presently shooting wild quail over him. By the end of last season, we were shooting and hunting Blues and Bobs over him. An older hunter would love this dog. Rambler has had all of his shots, including rattlesnake vaccine. Fancy carries herself with a proud style. She loves to hunt and has a good nose. We are presently shooting wild quail over her with a 12 gauge shotgun. The last time we had her out, she found six groups of wild birds in about 1 1/2 hours. She holds her point well and will retrieve a thrown quail. Fancy is a dog that is big on ranging, but will hunt close if whistle commands are used. She has naturally backed several of our dogs.
